Blink, or you’ll catch Red Eye

Dan got Hunter up at 4:00 am and they went fishing with Grandpa Tex. I guess when it’s freezing cold outside, you don’t think about getting sunburned. When they got home this afternoon Hunter’s face and eyes were super red. He took one look in the mirror
“Gosh mom, my eyes are all red!”
“Yes, they got sunburned today while you were fishing with Dad and Grandpa”
“No... I just never blinked the whole time I was fishing”
You’d better blink, or you’ll catch red eye!

All dressed and ready

This is actually what she put on 3 days ago to go to, as she puts it, “school”… which is actually church. She gets so excited to... “See My Friends In My Class!” The black velvety flower dress goes perfect with the soft cotton pajama top in a wild pink and white print. The blue camouflage pants “hide” her cute little legs from the cold weather outside and she’s stylin’ with her mismatched shoes...

Another Outbreak

It happened again. Although this time, not as bad as Sunday. None the less, I took him into the doctor because they wanted to see it. By the time we got there, it was almost gone. But boy, he sure did have fun ripping all the paper on the exam table. We don’t need toys around here, we need a huge roll of paper!

Dinner fit for a king... (Burger King that is…)

A big jar of pickles, a fork and silly 6 year old.

Don’t bother him, he’s eating...

Outbreak

This bewildered me today. Fisher has gone through 2 cans of Enfamil and one box of single serve packets and has not had a single problem. Then today while I fed him a bottle with the second box of single serve packets in church, this happened. The doctor says he’s too small for Benadryl so all I could do was wash the area with clear water and wait for it to go away. Must have been a bad batch of formula.

Scissor Teeth

My son is convinced he has “scissor” teeth. Not to be confused with “incisor” teeth. His class has been learning about teeth all week. And, there’s no correcting him. He KNOWS what he is talking about because his teacher at school “told” him they were scissor teeth. And “Mom, she knows what she’s talking about” I’m glad to see he listens to his teacher at school.

Early Eggs

Yeah, yeah, we’re 4 weeks EARLY

but the kids were just “dying” to “dye” eggs. {Tee hee hee}

So, we did.

And then the next day, Hunter ate a bunch,

and Carly peeled a bunch and smashed them… all over the table and floor. Oy.

Paul had a bad wreck today. Thankfully he walked away without hardly a scratch.

Miserable at 103.2

Poor little guy. He’s been fighting a high fever and congestion for 3 days now and I’ve taken him to the doctor twice in the same period of time. They can’t find anything wrong, “It’s just a virus” He feels as miserable as he looks. Thankfully, he’s old enough for Infant Motrin now which has seemed to be a heck of a lot more effective than Tylenol

"Bawkuh Drawbuh"

My little fairy waves her magic wand at me and out of her mouth comes the magic words…
“Baw-kuh Draw-buh!” and-

**POOF**

-I cough-
The Fairy Dust clears...
...and I look the same...
-Dang it-

5 point Sparring

I found these huge elk sparring in the {basement} meadow. The right one sustained huge losses and had to have it’s antler {taped back on} repaired.

I think it was in the middle of eating when it was attacked...

Record snow storm

It was odd that we had 3 days of 40—50 degree weather that melted most of the snow in our yard. Then it was followed by a record snow storm and I had to travel in it to pick up Dan from the airport. I drove 20 mph on the freeway and it took me about an hour to get there (usually it takes 12-15 min) The roads were CRAZY! Nothing had been plowed and I was thankful for 4 wheel drive in Dan’s truck to get us there and that we arrived home safely.

She’s fast...

Dan helped Carly pick out some Valentine cookies for “her friends at her school class” (aka church)”.

She’s fast. They weren’t in the door 30 seconds and she had ‘em ripped open.

The cookies didn’t stand a chance. They never made it to church.

destructions

Hunter (While reading the back of the package): “Mom, according to the “destructions”, you’re supposed to take the metal lid off before you cook it.”

Got a good chuckle out of that one… If only everything came with “destructions

Jr Jazz Graduate

Last Jr. Jazz game yesterday.. He was on a roll when he made 2 baskets at the very first game last November, but that’s where his streak ended. No more baskets all season long, but a lot of fun and a bunch of laughs.

P.S. Figuring out how to hold it

so you can actually read the words

is pretty tricky-
